The Ryan Palmer Foundation and The Children's Hospital at Northwest Texas Healthcare System are helping to bring smiles to children during their hospitalization through play. In 2010, The Ryan Palmer Foundation helped remodel two playrooms. Playrooms enable patients to escape into a place that is familiar and most importantly fun!
The Palmer Playhouse is for young children. This colorful room is fully stocked with toys, activities, games, puzzles and more. Children love coming in and knowing just what to do...play. The Palmer Playhouse is a place where children can enjoy having someone to play with while families can feel the support of other families during their child's hospitalization.
The Palmer Sportzone is for children ready to play games. Two flat screens and the latest game stations and games mean endless hours of fun. Two computers give patients a place to play as well as learn about their hospitalization or completing school work. Cabinets are stocked with board games, puzzles and card games too.
