Ryan Palmer Foundation

The mission of the Ryan Palmer Foundation (the “Foundation”) is to promote community involvement through the sport of golf, with a constant focus on the health and education of today’s young people and their opportunity to succeed. The Foundation’s mission emphasizes three general principals: the education, health and opportunity to succeed of today’s youth. The Foundation separates these three general principals into the three basic tenets in which seeks to further its exempt purposes: (1) Etiquette (Education) (2) Athleticism (Health) and (3) Achievement (Opportunity to Succeed).

• Tenet 2 – Athleticism (Health): Based on recent news reports that the youth of America are addicted to television and are overweight, the Foundation wants to further its exempt purposes by promoting the athletic and health benefits of golf. The average round of golf takes four hours to complete and provides a substantial opportunity for a young person to enjoy the outdoors.

Future Activities:

The Ryan Palmer Golf Classic: The Foundation will sponsor and fund a highly anticipated golf tournament called The Ryan Palmer Golf Classic. This tournament will be coordinated and funded primarily by the Foundation. The Foundation will seek corporate team sponsors and each youth will be placed on a corporate team. The Foundation seeks to have corporate sponsored teams so that the youth can interact with other youth and take pride in their team and hopefully encourage one another to practice before the tournament and spend more time outdoors. This activity furthers the Foundation’s exempt purpose of improving the health of today’s youth by encouraging them to engage in outdoor athletic activities.
